| Greencrop can now offer a High speed Bunded fuel (diesel) bowser for highway use. The high-speed tow version GCFB 220 has a capacity of 1000 litres (220 gallon), which has been tested by the Ministry of Transport and is fully compliant to ADR - IBC - UN Approval and is supplied with certified documentation.
ADR Diesel Bowsers have to comply with recently introduced Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations. Under these regulations diesel is now classified as a dangerous substance due to its potential flammability, especially when in a vapour state. In order to do so safely, the transportation on the road must be done in containers which comply with the requirements of the ADR regulations. ADR regulations are a European agreement. The inner tank must be able to be fully removed form the outer bund tank for inspection if required after every 30 months. The Greencrop Bowser consists of IBC containers (intermediate bulk container), which are mounted on a towable chassis with a layer of rubber between the outer tank and chassis. The IBC's can only be retained on a chassis or frame and must not have the chassis or frame form part of their structure. The containers are classified as IBC's to UN31A coding. To achieve this they had to be independently tested to withstand test pressures and drop testing, (the Greencrop tank so far gave the best results with regards to the least distortion on the tests) The container is also required to feature a specialised pressure relief and explosion valve, inspection hatch and a max fill indicator. |
